Why we built it
Over eight years as a Salesforce technical architect, I kept seeing the same thing. Licenses assigned to people who had left months ago. Add-ons nobody opened. Frozen users everyone assumed were "handled". Renewals signed on last year's numbers, because nobody had the time, or the tools, to check.
It was never one big mistake. Just money leaking away, every year.
License Optimizer is the tool I wanted in those renewal meetings: a clear count of what's unused, why, and exactly where to fix it in Setup. It's read-only, so nothing changes without your admin, and it's free to start, because finding the waste shouldn't cost you more.
Unused user licenses
Users with no recent login. You choose the threshold.
Never logged in
Seats assigned to people who have never signed in, after a grace period.
Frozen, still licensed
Freezing a user doesn't free their license. We show which frozen users are still costing you.
Only connects through integrations
Full licenses used only by API or OAuth logins, which could move to an Integration license. Every one comes with the reasons.
No sales or service work
People who log in but haven't touched opportunities, leads or cases in 90 days, who may fit a Platform license.

Will it change my users?

Why does a frozen user still count?
Freezing blocks login but keeps the license assigned. Deactivate the user to free it.
